Veterans for All Voters
State Leaders
State Leaders are on-the-ground advocates for election innovations in their home states. The situation on the ground is different in each state. For example, some innovations happen in the state legislatures while other changes can happen at the ballot box.

Alaska Testimonials
"I am a big fan of the ranked-choiced voting here in Alaska, and would like to advocate for this system. The traditional election system is problematic, and promotes those with radical ideologies. I would like to be involved in promoting this innovation and promoting more political involvement!"
Josh Smith
U.S. Air Force Veteran
"I am equally enthusiastic about promoting fair elections via rank-choice voting. As a disabled veteran, I fall in the middle of the political spectrum. This organization is the embodiment of my political beliefs regarding fair and equitable elections."
Trevor Gaby
U.S. Air Force Veteran
"It is all too clear to anyone who is politically active that our system is not having its finest hour. Many of our current leaders are out of touch with their constituents, and are beyond challenge due to their established power and big-money sponsors. We need a change in how we pick our leaders, so that we have representation that addresses our current and future problems in a way that benefits regular people and not just special interest. The voting reform advocated for by Veterans for All Voters is absolutely vital to ensure we stay a functional republic of the people, by the people, and for the people."

U.S. Army Veteran
"Service to one another is the bedrock of our society not politics. Our nation has strayed due in large part to the controlling function that the two system has emplacement. It promotes the Lesser of Two Evils selection process which in turn fails the people. The open primary allows for any Alaskan to run not just the pretty, the political connected, or the rich."
Chris Bye
U.S. Army Veteran
"I defended freedom and voting rights in Iraq, I've volunteered as a poll worker in Alaska, and was activated to respond to the January 6th insurrection attempt where I was appointed the Senior Enlisted Leader of the QRF. This is simply the next step to protect people's right to choose their leaders without interference."
Mike Grunst
U.S. Army National Guard Veteran
"As a veteran and independent-minded voter who leans libertarian, I fit right in with the majority of Alaska voters who don't identify with the Democratic or Republican Party. In fact, over 60% of Alaska voters choose to remain unaffiliated or independent. My kind of people! The new and improved open & nonpartisan primary election, which allows any registered voter in Alaska to fully participate in the process and vote for any candidate in any race, is just downright awesome! I love it because I no longer have to pretend to be a member of this party or that party in order to vote. I love it because I now have many more candidate options to choose from in any given race. And I love it because I feel like I, the voter, am now in the driver's seat -- vs. the old system where the parties ran the show and seemed to always put their own interests over the interests of regular Alaskans."
