"Our two-party system is broken. Only 18% of Americans approve of the way Congress is doing its job. Political polarization is crippling Congress. Not surprisingly, 43% of voters consider themselves independent with the remaining 47% evenly split between Democrats and Republicans. America deserves better. Open primaries and ranked-choice voting will energize and attract a wider array of voters while affording greater opportunities for emerging political leadership. Veterans understand the value of teamwork to achieve an objective. We have a stake in this great nation. We don’t have to vote for the lesser of two evils anymore. Together, let’s fix this."
