State Leaders are on-the-ground advocates for election innovations in their home states. The situation on the ground is different in each state. For example, some innovations happen in the state legislatures while other changes can happen at the ballot box.

Nevada Testimonials
VAV Nevada state leader & Marine Corps veteran Mike Escobar "Yes on Ballot Question 3!" campaign in 2024
"As a retired Army officer as well as the founder and executive director of Nevadans for Election Reform, it is imperative that we, as veterans or currently serving members of our armed forces have our voices clearly heard. Our current political system is broken preventing any progress on issues important to us, our families, and our communities. VAV is working to open up our election process so no voter is left out. We in Nevada are fortunate to have VAV as a coalition partner working to bring top-five open primary and ranked choice voting in the general election to our state."
Doug Goodman
U.S. Army Veteran
"I have become increasingly frustrated with the current political climate in the United States. I took an oath in 1982 to "uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic so help me God". I take that oath even more seriously today than the day I was sworn in as an Air Force Officer at the United States Air Force Academy. I don't feel that our current 2 party system represents my voice, which is really the voice of the Constitution and what our Founding Fathers intended. I want to do anything I can to change the conversation and bring high performance leadership and sanity to our political system. It feels like those who are leading this country now are more corrupt and mentally ill than ever who behave like Narcissists and people with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I would like to take an active role to move us back in the right direction of the Constitution."
Nikkea Devida
U.S. Air Force Veteran
"I have been following the U.S. political system for most of my life and I have never seen it filled with more vitriol, division and hate. Our leaders have become ideological and unwilling to compromise. I've mostly been a spectator and armchair quarterback when it comes to politics. It's time to step up and do what I can to create a better and more decent political culture for the future of America."
Michael Spielman
U.S. Marine Corps Veteran
"This organization is no fluff all business and has real clarity of the issues with our political system and how to fix them."
Brandon Moody
U.S. Navy Veteran
"I want to ensure everyone especially veterans have unrestricted right to vote."
Nathan Atkins
U.S. Army Veteran
"I am ready to serve my community in pushing for positive election reforms for the better of the individual voters and depolarize our country. The question Nevada has up for vote this year can let Nevada be an example to other states about pursuing election reform that brings positive changes to our broken political system. I am passionate about RCV, non-partisan primaries, and other solutions that helps depolarize our political system."
