Veterans for All Voters (VAV), the veteran-led, nonpartisan nonprofit working to ensure fair, open, and competitive elections, announced today that Alberto Ramos has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1st, 2025. Todd Connor will continue serving the organization as Co-Founder, advising on strategy, partnerships, and leadership development.
Alberto, a former submarine officer, later served as a White House Fellow, Director of Talent at New Politics, and Chief Speechwriter to the VA Secretary. “Every single day, veterans lead in their communities as coaches, mentors, faith leaders, small-business owners, and neighbors,” Alberto said. “I’m excited to join an organization lifting those trusted voices, so every voter is heard.”
Under Todd’s leadership—powered by the work of VAV volunteers and reform partners—Veterans for All Voters advanced campaigns, delivered impactful legislative testimony, and built coalitions across the country. In this next chapter, VAV will scale a veteran-led movement that strengthens civic life and gives veterans a home to keep serving.
Veterans for All Voters is a veteran-led, nonpartisan nonprofit building a nationwide movement to strengthen American democracy. VAV mobilizes veterans and their supporters to advocate for political reforms that unlock competition, reduce polarization, and ensure the government is accountable to all of us. I’m interested in the specific electoral policy changes the group advocates. I have written a book proposing 4 specific, non- partisan changes to electoral policies to minimize the partisan divisiveness and ineffectiveness in governing. The book also includes 12 other non-partisan changes to how Congress operates to limit partisanship and encourage bi-partisan collaboration in developing policies that serve the country overall versus partisan bases. ADM James Stravidis, USN (Ret), a distinguished graduate, is an endorser of the book. I’ve taught these changes to over 400 students in adult lifelong learning programs in 3 universities in Southwest Ohio with over 95% voting to implement the changes. There are 3 new changes added since publication on 2021 on the book’s website at www .citizenrules.org. Would love to compare ideas. Bob Viney, USNA 1970, former Nuclear Submarine Officer.
