Florida’s Elections Are Closed to Millions

Over 3.5 million Florida voters are registered with No Party Affiliation (NPA), representing approximately 25.8% of the state’s electorate.

A 2020 ballot initiative, Amendment 3, which proposed a top-two open primary system for state offices, received 57% of the vote. While this was a majority, it fell short of the 60% required for constitutional amendments in Florida.
